Farmers markets for Upper Basildon. There are lots on this site now. It is really worth a browse. Currently it is quite slow finding the markets so wait a few seconds for the list of markets to appear.

Local Food and Drink

Garlands Organic

6 Reading Rd, Pangbourne, Reading RG8 7LY, UK – 0118 984 4770

dropped into Pangbourne to hunt down the cheese shop, but was reassuringly closed at 5 on a hot summers day so I was able to discover Garlands Organic food shop. cool, relaxed and friendly with an extensive range of teas, coffee and sweet things like apricot&coconut flapjack(recommended!). an interesting range of organic beers and wines in the chiller and much more. my thanks to Sophie

Although I have lived here for a while I hadn't really been in here but on a mission to find Greens sun screen for my Daughters sensitive skin I thought I'd give it a go and happily found what I needed and at a reasonable price too. I have now had the chance to pop in for other products and found it to be a well stocked shop with knowledgeable staff.

The Co-operative Food

2 Bridle Path, Reading RG8 0SE, UK – 01491 680369

Mid sized CoOp, staff friendly, reasonably well run.

The Garden Cafe

14 Whitchurch Rd, Pangbourne, Reading RG8 7BP, UK – 0118 984 1114

The Garden Cafe is unique, its small, it's quiet, its family run, friendly and it has excellent wifi. Add to that a large menu of home made food, including vegan and waistline expanding cakes. This makes it my go to place for a scene change, out of the office space to work from. Refreshingly, the staff actually talk to you, can switch baked potato or panini fillings around to suit and make a wicked home made soup. Am I a fan, err yes, I'm here most weeks and what really makes it for me is the atmosphere. Its a great slow relaxed calm vibe spot, so rare to find a great indie cafe these days

Awesome food, great staff and service and a lovely setting
